The RIX Black Friday sale is live at Huey Outdoors. The LEAP L12R is now $5,299, the DBH D12 is $7,499, and the TITAN T6 handheld is $1,999. We pay the sales tax and offer free shipping.
I put together a new Lone Star Boars hunting video to go with the sale: hogs moving across open fields, encounters under the trees, coyotes, and a coordinated countdown. The footage features the LEAP L12R, DBH D12 and LEAP L6R—the optics I’m talking about, out in the field.

Watch the video on Lone Star Boars’ YouTube channel.
The video opens with the LEAP L12R hunt, then moves through clips from all three scopes. The countdown encounter starts around 6:23; the LEAP L6R footage begins around 9:29. These are clips from different hunts and conditions, so treat them as field examples rather than a controlled side-by-side comparison.
LEAP L12R at $5,299: my value pick in 1280 thermal
The L12R’s 1280×1024 sensor gets attention, but the wide 2× starting view is a big part of why I like hunting with it. When hogs are close, moving, or coming out of vegetation, I want to keep the situation in view. The L12R gives me that wide starting point and the flexibility to increase magnification when I need it.
At the sale price of $5,299, this is the model I would put high on the list for someone who wants 1280 thermal imaging and a versatile field of view. Shop the LEAP L12R or read my full LEAP L12R field review.
DBH D12 at $7,499: my pick for absolute image quality
The DBH D12 has produced the best thermal image I’ve personally seen. I still choose between it and the L12R based on the hunt: the D12’s image is the draw for me, while the L12R’s wider 2× starting view is especially useful in tighter country.
If image quality is your main priority, take a look at the DBH D12 at $7,499. My DBH D12 field review explains what won me over.
LEAP L6R and the rest of the sale
The LEAP L6R is $3,399, and its hog and coyote clips are included near the end of this video. The sale also covers the LEAP L3R, DBH D6 and the TITAN handhelds. The table above links every promotional model, including the TITAN T6 at $1,999.
