WAVE ATRIS 650 V2 thermal scope: my 2026 Tube style value pick
I’m Todd Huey from Lone Star Boars. The WAVE ATRIS 650 V2 thermal scope is my best bang for the buck pick in a traditional tube design for 2026.
I recommend the 650 if you want more magnification. However, if a wider field of view matters more, consider the ATRIS 635.
Simple controls and a display you can adjust
Ease of use is one of the highlights of the ATRIS V2 series. For example, you can reach the top focus knob with either hand.
The 640×512 thermal sensor pairs with a 2560×2560 ViewMax display. You can also adjust the display’s color hues to find the view you prefer.
I prefer the blue filter. On longer hunts, I find it easier on my eyes.
In addition, the scope can record photos, video and audio. This lets you save footage from your hunts and review it later.
Rechargeable power and a five-year warranty
The ATRIS 650 V2 runs on a rechargeable 26650 battery. Alternatively, you can use a protected 18650 battery with the included sleeve.
WAVE also backs the scope with a five-year transferable warranty. The remaining coverage stays with the scope if ownership changes.
