Description
WAVE ATRIS 635 V2 thermal scope: my pick for a wide view
I’m Todd Huey from Lone Star Boars. The WAVE ATRIS 635 V2 thermal scope is my 2026 value pick in a traditional tube design.
I would choose the 635 for its wide field of view. However, if you want more magnification, compare it with the ATRIS 650 V2.
I also like the simple controls and display color options. On longer hunts, I prefer the blue filter because I find it easier on my eyes.

Features and benefits
Arclight lens, MicroTherm sensor and TrueView processing
The Arclight germanium lens directs infrared energy to the 640×512 MicroTherm 15 sensor. Its sensitivity rating is below 15mK. This describes the sensor’s ability to detect small temperature differences.
TrueView then processes that information to create the thermal image. It balances image detail and contrast.
ViewMax display and GloveGrip focus
The ViewMax display has a resolution of 2560×2560 pixels. You can also adjust the display hue and choose from six thermal color palettes.
The GloveGrip focus knob sits on top of the front lens assembly. As a result, you can reach it with either hand.
Photo, video and audio recording
The scope records photos, video and audio. You can review or delete files on the device. In addition, WiFi connects the scope to the WAVE IR app.
Recoil-activated recording is also available, with an adjustable sensitivity threshold.
Relentless Runtime battery options
The scope runs on one protected 26650 rechargeable battery. Alternatively, you can use a protected 18650 battery with the included sleeve.
WAVE lists an expected battery life of 10 hours.
Five-year transferable warranty
WAVE provides a five-year transferable warranty. The remaining coverage follows the scope if ownership changes, subject to WAVE’s warranty terms.
