The Dark 30 Defiance 640 PTZ is a premium vehicle-mounted thermal camera system built for hunters, ranchers and nighttime surveillance. It combines a 640×480 thermal sensor, 60 Hz refresh rate, full 360° pan capability and remote control with an in-vehicle 10.1-inch display, giving you continuous thermal visibility without having to scan with a handheld monocular.
I’m Todd Huey from Lone Star Boars. The Dark 30 Defiance 640 is my most useful night hunting tool. I would give up my thermal drone, handheld scanners and night vision before giving up this camera.
Before the Defiance, I spent too much time leaning out of the window. Now I can scan 360 degrees from the climate-controlled cab of my truck. As a result, I deal with fewer bugs in summer and less cold in winter.
The camera mounts outside, while the 10.1-inch screen sits inside the vehicle. A wired HDMI connection sends the thermal view directly to the display. Use the supplied remote to control the camera. You can also control it through the Dark 30 app.
The kit includes the screen, remote, power and video cables, and mounting hardware. For temporary mounting, use the magnetic feet or suction cups. Alternatively, bolt the camera to the vehicle for a permanent installation.
For me, the Defiance has become gear I don’t want to hunt without.
